She was pushing her book but Stephen did hit her up on the "Monster" statement.

She was able to respond to Steven's off-topic comments without losing her sense of humour, and yet was always able to turn the subject back to what she wanted to talk about.

... and now I want to read her book, after hearing what she had to say about it.

I'd be interested to see the stats on increased book sales for authors who appear on The Daily Show or the Colbert Report. Between those two shows, I have been introduced to some incredible books that I wouldn't have otherwise known about.
