PA numbers ..Clinton up 11..Obama up 25
Back when she was the presumptive winner of the whole thing, she held a 48% to 15% edge over BHO..

If she's at 59 and he's at 40..she's gained 11 and he's gained 25..

just sayin....

Giuliani Close To Clinton In Pennsylvania Pres Race, Quinnipiac University Poll Finds; Despite Big Primary Lead, Clinton Has Big Negatives

Former New York City Mayor Rudolph Giuliani has narrowed the gap with New York Sen. Hillary Clinton among Pennsylvania voters, getting 43 percent to Sen. Clinton's 45 percent, according to a Quinnipiac University poll released today.

snip

If Clinton is the Democratic candidate for President, 36 percent of Pennsylvania voters say they would support her, with 21 percent who might support her and 41 percent who say they would not vote for her under any circumstances.

snip...

"Sen. Hillary Clinton has had a rough couple of weeks on the campaign trail and her numbers show it, dropping slightly in Pennsylvania. But she is still the strongest candidate in the field and holds the slimmest of edges among voters that both 9/11 hero Rudolph Giuliani and War hero Sen. John McCain will have a hard time overcoming," said Clay F. Richards, assistant director of the Quinnipiac University Polling Institute.

"This poll shows that there is a hard core of just over 40 percent who are unlikely to vote for Sen. Clinton under any circumstances, but it takes just 50 percent plus one to win the election."

snip...

* Clinton gets 45 percent to 43 percent for Arizona Sen. John McCain.

snip...

Clinton is running away with the Democratic primary, leading Illinois Sen. Barack Obama 48 - 15 percent, up from 41 - 14 percent October 10.

snip...

Clinton gets a 47 - 43 percent favorability rating.Clinton has the Democratic nomination "locked up," 36 percent of Pennsylvania voters, including 34 percent of Democrats, say.

1. After Obama's speech today - I expect Clinton's % to go down even further tomorrow
and Obama is over 50% for the first time, giving him the opportunity to soundly defeat Clinton on what is in a solid Clinton state with less than 5 weeks to go.

8. No skin off my nose.. PA will do what it wants to do..
just saying that polls can "say" whatever one wants to see in them.. on both sides..

and Hillary NEEDS to win a few here and there.. she's working very hard and spending a ton of money..she deserves to win now and then too

and PA was never in the BHO "playbook" anyway..

It's ALL about the delegate count:)

She had to win EVERY single race from here on in..and win them at 64% (IIRC) or more...

and it's a month away..time will tell

9. The Quinnipiac polling ran from March 10 - 16
The more recent PPP which ran from the 15-16 shows Clinton with a +26 lead.

10. I compared the poll they did when she was THE winner and he was a blip on the radar
Edited on Tue Mar-18-08 02:55 PM by SoCalDem
I used that as the starting point, since back then she was supposed to be facing Giuliani..and would win the whole enchilada..

for him to have gone from 15-30
and for her to have gone from 48 to where she is now, is not that big of an achievement for her campaign...

did you read the original article? :)
