Stop saying Obama denied hearing controversial remarks in church. He didn't:
"I did not hear such incendiary language myself, personally, either in conversations with him or when I was in the pew. He always preached the social gospel and was sometimes controversial in the same way that many people who‘d speak out on social issues are controversial...

But these particular statements that had been gathered are ones that I strongly objected to and strongly condemned. Had I heard them in church, I would have expressed that concern directly to Reverend Wright. So, I didn‘t familiar with these until recently.
.........
He‘s an African-American man, who, you know, because of his life experience continues to have a lot of anger and frustration, and will express that in ways that are very different from me and my generation, partly because I benefited from the struggles of that early generation. And so, part of what we‘re seeing here is a transition from the past to the future. And I hope that our politics represents the future."

7. Thanks for that-here's a quote from your link:
"A: I haven't seen the line. This is a pastor who is on the brink of retirement who in the past has made some controversial statements. I profoundly disagree with some of these statements."

ibid

Yeah, these Obama haters can't see the truth when it's right there in their face. :toast:

2. Make no mistake about it
There are a lot of black men and women in America who are more or less Rev. Wright's age and lived through some of the same times of Rev. Wright who say right on to God damn America and don't give a sh** if anybody likes it.

And there are a lot WHITE PASTORS who have said God Damn America in their sermons that the MSM is keeping quite about. Check this out:

4. I know. I have a brother-in-law and sister-in-law whose parents are those Black people.
And I know about those white pastors. As a matter of fact, I wrote to Joe Scarborough today and pointed that out but of course, no response.

12. No. It's because I'm watching American Idol and writing comments about each singer
since I have a family competition going on. You can just TELL me what he specifically said instead of cutting off the quote where you did.

13. That's exactly what he on March 14th...
but you know, a talking point is a talking point :puke:

Q: I don't know if you've seen it, but it's all over the wire today (from an ABC News story), a statement that your pastor (the Rev. Jeremiah Wright of Trinity United Church of Christ on Chicago's South Side) made in a sermon in 2003 that instead of singing "God Bless America," black people should sing a song essentially saying "God Damn America."

A: I haven't seen the line. This is a pastor who is on the brink of retirement who in the past has made some controversial statements. I profoundly disagree with some of these statements.
