and it will be used against Obama in the general.

16. combined with previous articles of Obama

January 21, 2007

In his 1993 memoir "Dreams from My Father," Obama recounts in vivid detail his first meeting with Wright in 1985. The pastor warned the community activist that getting involved with Trinity might turn off other black clergy because of the church's radical reputation.

When Obama sought his own church community, he felt increasingly at home at Trinity. Before leaving for Harvard Law School in 1988, he responded to one of Wright's altar calls and declared a personal relationship with Jesus Christ.

Later he would base his 2004 keynote speech to the Democratic National Convention on a Wright sermon called "Audacity to Hope," --also the inspiration for Obama's second memoir, "The Audacity of Hope."

Though Wright and Obama do not often talk one-on-one often, the senator does check with his pastor before making any bold political moves.

connecting the dots, it is only going to get worse.

31. yes, here is the info I have
I was thinking about that today, if they get the church video when Wright talked about not going to war and check the dates between that and Obama's speech...there goes that 'foundation' of his campaign

http://www.nytimes.com/2007/04/30/us/politics/30obama.html?_r=4&pagewanted=all&oref=login&oref=slogin&oref=slogin&oref=slogin

April 30 2007

Services at Trinity were a weekly master class in how to move an audience. When Mr. Obama arrived at Harvard Law School later that year, where he fortified himself with recordings of Mr. Wright’s sermons, he was delivering stirring speeches as a student leader in the classic oratorical style of the black church.
But he developed a tone very different from his pastor’s. In contrast with Mr. Wright — the kind of speaker who could make a grocery list sound like a jeremiad — Mr. Obama speaks with cool intellect and on-the-one-hand reasoning. He tends to emphasize the reasonableness of all people; Mr. Wright rallies his parishioners against oppressors.
While Mr. Obama stated his opposition to the Iraq war in conventional terms, Mr. Wright issued a “War on Iraq I.Q. Test,” with questions like, “Which country do you think poses the greatest threat to global peace: Iraq or the U.S.?”

13. What I'm saying is Rev Wright didn;t WRITE that, he printed it in a church publication
I'm ON OBAMA'S SIDE!!!

What I meant was, Rev. Wright is not the author of that text, he just printed it because he believed his congregation would like to know the Palestinian story directly from the source.

27. MassDemm I'm not sure what to think about this
In addition to the Jewish community being upset, there are a lot of americans that disagree with Hamas and look at them as terrorists. So I mean, I'm sure it will hit the MSM eventually and I can't guess what the response will be.

9. What is so wrong with seeing both sides of an issue?
This is Bushian thinking -- just ignore the other side's point of view and it will
go away. Hamas ended up winning the Palestinian elections, so maybe it would have
been good to know what they were thinking (since they ended up being one-half of the
Middle East peace process).

12. Have you seenthe pic of Hillary holding the BUSH KNEW headline in May2002?
It was on the senate floor - and I know many of us applauded that action - too bad she dropped it like a hot potato after she got a little bit of backlash.

But, I am trying to locate that one moment where I agreed wholeheartedly with Senator Clinton. I am sure the GOP machine has it stored. I wonder why it is so hard for the rest of us to track down.

So go ahead, fellas and ladies. Time is running out for dirt-diggers.

20. That was really a well written statement. Always wanted to hear their side
Seems like every Hamas person I always hear interviewed sounds like nut jobs. That answered a lot of questions I had wondered about. Thanks for posting it.

I don't support Hamas but I still want to hear their side of it explained intelligently.

33. Can you imagine what "sermon" was preached that day?
Is Wright a holocaust denier as well?

I might have stayed through one of these "sermons" in a state of semi-shock but nothing could have made me ever return for this kind of filth again.
