Bless Caroline Kennedy and her Kids!!!
On a freezing cold and very windy Pennsylvania morning, they surprised a bunch of us Obama volunteers on the campaign trail as we registered people to vote at a flea market. No kidding ~ and no fanfare either; they carried clip boards around just like the rest of us and asked shoppers if they were registered to vote. Then they joined the phone bank at the office and spent the rest of the afternoon registering voters on the street.

Caroline is lovely and very down-to-earth; her kids are terrific ~ and the Obama campaign is an amazing movement!

5. Thanks for sharing this...
It helps to remind us of why this campaign is so special. Not just the notable people supporting it--but the way in which they support this movement says so much.

20. Caroline has the right idea ~celebrities supporting Obama
Edited on Sat Mar-22-08 10:00 AM by goclark
can do this ~

If Caroline could do it with such grace, get the others to do it too.

At the UCLA rally for Obama I saw Tracy Ross (Diana's daughter)walk in and go back stage. The crowd, especially the UCLA students, went wild.

If Obama could rally "Surprise" celebrities to donate their time and be there to encourage young voters and older voters as well -- what a plus!

Who knows how to get this to the Obama campaign?

27. Agreed CL, if some of the polls are to be believed, he's on his
way back, and the damage could have been much worse, but he & his supporters are fighters. I mean this man has nearly doubled his donors in a month's time, and still packing in overflow crowds. Like Howard Dean, Obama is an entity like no other. And I'm no starry eyed teenager, and I'm not looking for a Messiah, but I have witnessed the leadership that Obama will bring with him on day one.

I have been so impressed at how he's managed to remain cool & calm enough to deliver that awesome speech, considering he's being pounded from the Clinton campaign, the McCain campaign, and the rightwing noise machine all at the same time. His grace under pressure is truly impressive.
I wasn't on board in the beginning, but the more I looked at him, and the energy surrounding him, I knew I had to climb aboard.

GOOOOBAMA!

30. I wasn't a supporter until recently either...
Edited on Sat Mar-22-08 10:37 AM by CitizenLeft
I've always loved the Clintons, and wanted to see them together on a ticket, so I didn't choose between them. But when Bill made the "Jesse Jackson" comment, I got turned OFF. But even then, it took the mocking of Obama and his supporters, and that "shame on you" moment of fake outrage to push me over the line. And then when she denigrated his speeches, and all the other kitchen sink utensils started to fly - and his response to all of that impressed me - I became a firm Obama supporter, and I'm here for the duration! :hi:

of Gray Davis here in CA. and I looked up and my Congresswoman, Zoe Lofgren, was manning the next phone. I was the only one who recognized her.

She did a bit of campaigning for him here. She said her kids encouraged her to get in and campaign for Obama. Great kids!

She is absolutely wonderful. Charming, intelligent and sincere.

Love her!

I watched every second of it and will never forget it. You can also see how grateful Obama felt toward her.
