"GET TO THE BACK OF THE BUS!!!! ONLY WE DESERVE PREFERENTIAL TREATMENT!!! NOW GET TO THE BACK OF THE BUS!!! YOU TOO, PUERTO RICO!!!"

thanks for making that clear to 48 other states that playing by terry mcauliffe's rules isn't good enough and we deserve to go to the back of the bus.

3. the democrats in michigan need to make sure your party leadership
Edited on Sun Mar-23-08 12:48 AM by madrchsod
does`t pull this shit again. it`s not fair to anyone to have your leadership break the rules then not take the blame. you deserve to have a vote but no one seems to be able to figure out how and from what i have read they decided not to do anything.

4. State Party leaders made them victims
all for power plays

they threw their constituents under the bus, not the DNC, not the rules committee, and not howard dean.

8. I blame it on Gov. Grandholm, she is a Clinton supporter and I think she tried to "game" the system
for her benefit.

5. Nonsense. An Entire state decides when to have a Primary Election. There
are usually other items on the ballot than simply Democratic Party candidates, ya know? And an election ain't cheap. The fact the DNC and Howie Dean got their feathers ruffled because they wanted to pander to Iowa and NH and didn't like the idea of anyone else having an early influence, and believing that they should wield more power than the ACTUAL VOTING POPULACE is simply without merit in my book.

7. Glad someone here thinks
instead of panders to don't break the rules propoganda. The DNC ignored festering wounds which go way back. All Dean needed to consider is how The RNC handled the Mich, Fla. GOP rebellions and followed their wise course. They only reduced the GOP delegation to St Paul. Wise up DNC.

6. NH violated rules and was not penalized. DNC broke its own rules.
NH moved its primary ahead of SC and was not penalized. For them, the rules are not written in stone. The original threatened penalty was they would lose HALF their PRIMARY delegates. Then DNC changed its rules again and is now disallowing ALL delegates. They are making up and changing rules faster than runway models. Who made up this supposedly sacrosanct rule about IA and NH? Doesn't every state have the right to decide when it should have its own primary? Why did DNC let everyone move their primaries up, but decide only four states could vote in January? There is no justifiable reason. I guess we don't support democracy in this case, only the dictates of the vaunted leadership.

This is Dean's fault because he is 'where the buck stops'. It seems more important to enforce authority than it is for millions of voters to have rights. People who post that those denied their rights are 'cry babies' or worse, clearly have no sense of justice. I doubt they would be saying this if the situation were reversed and their preferred candidate would not benefit from the denial to participate.

Comparing those who are seeking the right to vote to those who denied people the right to vote is despicable. The poster who started this thread should be ashamed and be rebuked by ALL.

10. You're mistaken.
The DNC did not change its rules; it enforced them. The sanctions were in place and the FDP and MDP knew it.

The primary rules were agreed to by all of the states; some states decided to ignore the rules that were agreed to by all. Are you suggesting that the DNC should have allowed all of the states to move their primaries ahead? Does that really make sense to you?

If you don't understand why only a few states were allowed to be first in the primary window, please feel free to propose a new primary strategy. There are reasons for the small-state strategy.

Blaming Dean for the chaos that has been created in this primary season by state parties seems wrong to me, but please go ahead and propose your solutions. How are the voters in the rest of the country that are represented by Dean supposed to take this discussion? Should we all just agree that FL and MI are more important and more valuable than we all are?

13. SC was always going to be after NH
NH was going to be the first primary state regardless of the date and SC would be second. Primary. Iowa was to be the first caucus state and another caucus state could be placed before NH.

NH didn't break any rules.

12. Fl and Mi message to 48 other states..and Dean and Donna Brazile, count on our Electoral votes
Edited on Sun Mar-23-08 02:11 AM by flyarm
going to McCain..and be prepared to say in Nov ..President McCain!

Don't count our votes now, then don't count on those votes in Nov! more are moving to that camp daily in Fl!

its very simple really..don't count us now..consider us non votes, but do not think you will get our votes in Nov!..maybe those in other states do not understand what happened in Fl..and the Obama propagandists can sell you a bill of goods, but the Fl voters and dems in Fl know damn well what happned and by who!

oh and remember this..we have one of the highest populations of Vets in the nation..they don't take their votes being stolen by either party lightly!!

and we do have the headquarters of this war in our state..and a big population of our state are in Afganistan and Iraq..as active duty military.

no sireee they don't take lightly that the DNC and Obama's surrogates Dean and Donna Brazile have stolen their votes and consider their votes ..non existing!

see unlike caucus states, that disenfranchise military serving away from home..Florida has all it's citizens elegible to vote in our primary...but closed to each party's registered voters. But all can vote..even if they are out of the country fighting in uniform!
