Bill Clinton: "...when the primaries are over, let's fall in line." 9/13

I had the pleasure of attending Tom Harkin's steak fry this past September and I wanted to remind everyone what Bill Clinton said about falling in line behind the eventual nominee, it is something we should all remember if we are going to retake the White House. Just prior to the comment below he also stated "the difference between Republicans and Democrats is that Democrats we want a candidate we can fall in love with and Republicans want a candidate they can fall in line behind." I hope everybody will keep this in mind.


Indianola, Iowa September 13

that's why the Republicans took over the house and senate in '02. They all got in line behind what Bush was trying to push--war--even if it was a lie for our reasoning to go to Iraq.

I LOVE that quote! It's so true. I DO love my candidate. I love supporting him. I love what he stands for. I love his positions on the issues. I love who and what he is.

I have no problem with Gore supporting Dean but he hurts the party if Dean does not secure the nomination because no one will believe him when he stumps for someone else. Its a gamble and if Dean does not get the nomination the party loses the services of Al Gore. . .which I feel is important.

I remember it well and hope all take it to heart.
Frankly it's not for ME that I say this. I haven't been hurt personally by Bush really... and have no doubt I would fare another 4 years comfortably (though I have a couple young men I'm very close too who could possibly be affected by a draft and that would break my heart). It's for others both in this nation and throughout the world that I am concerned. Many people WILL be hurt by another 4 years of Bush, should it come to that, and I will work hard to avoid that.
