Ok - I support Senator Obama

but I find myself strangely angered when a republican or someone outside the Democratic party wants to pick on Senator Clinton about things she had no control over. I have been really mad at her but when they come from "outside" the democratic family, I find my loyalty kicks in.

We don't know who will win the nomination with certainty and she may be OUR candidate. Maybe I'm just a softie but I don't want those who hate her to try and permanently hurt her. :shrug:

She voted for the war and the kyle/liberman amendment. Why so conflicted? She enabled this dumb war. This is why people are angry at her. They are hurt that she uses so many republican tactics. Obama has run one of the cleanest campaigns I've ever seen.

I chose Kucinich first then Edwards. Senator Clinton was my last choice but I do not appreciate her being treated unfairly.

She may be playing every trick in the book and I might raise all kinds of hell about it but in the end I don't want "outsiders" trying to hurt her. This shouldn't be their business to interfere in anyway. I know it sounds weird but it's how I feel.

What is harmful to our candidates could eventually be harmful to the Democratic party. I don't want to see either of them get beat up with something that could hurt their chances in the GE.

We might have seen some of that psychology during the OJ trial, where AA citizens who might have seen OJ as guilty under normal circumstances (like Chris Rock) suddenly became illogically defensive/protective when he become an avatar of 'payback for historic injustice'. They saw OJ through 'Emmett Till-glasses'

It happens sometimes, and I think there are many voters who see Hillary's campaign through a lens of 'historic female glass ceilings', and not the candidate's merits...

I posted this blog http://www.sugarnspice.typepad.com/ as an example of an AA female liberal blogger who defended Obama in the past but became rabidly anti-Obama when the 'sexist' tag was unjustly placed on him... She saw red. She can no longer see the issues, just the rage that comes with years of being cheated, and a desire for payback to the male establishment. Maybe some personal stuff too.

In either case, it's a simplistic way of framing election issues, but it is human, so I can't judge.
