A poll question.

1. I don't think it is an either or answer to your question
The Democratic party is the only opposition to the GOP, but it is apparent that the party is in trouble. I think that Dean's the man to fix the party and win the election.

3. A senseless poll question
More important in terms of what? And when you say the democratic party, what do you mean? Why is it one or the other? What's the point of this thread?

5. Beating Bush is top priority...all other issues are secondary.

9. Not a senseless question
The Dean campaign has clearly made the point it wishes to remake the Democratic Party. The question asks "who will go along".

12. No it doesn't
It asks Dean or D party. It's very clear, right up there. How can you miss it?

He is putting Dean up against the D party. The options aren't even clear.

32. I agree with you.
Sadly, it is totally impossible for ONE candidate to remake an entire US political party, whether Dem or Repuke. If Dean gets the nomination I desperately hope he wins. But if he does, he'll find himself just another cog in the DNC machinery. Were he to win a second term, then I think he'd have a shot of changing the Democratic Party, with a WHOLE LOT of help from an army of operatives and grass roots supporters.

4. False dichotomy
The most important thing is --or should be-- the future of the nation, ergo the issues. If we go down the drain, it won't matter who gave us the final push.

10. This is actually an important question
Probably not framed as well as it could be, but important none the less. When people started calling themselves Deanocrats, that should have been an eyebrow raiser.

No more need to raise an eyebrow than 'Truman Democrats", or "Kennedy Democrats".

I thought it was a pertinent question, given Dean's campaign themes.

Explain how it is supposed to make sense. What premise does the polling data support?

29. What's more important -- protecting Bush-enabling establishment Dems
at all costs or electing the best Presidential candidate even though the fact that he doesn't need their corporate grease scares the shit out of them?
