I heard that saying about a year ago and I think it is apropos for GD-P during these extremely heated primary wars.
Let me start out by saying that I initially supported Dennis Kucinich, mostly for HR333, and then John Edwards for his stand on the issues of poverty, so I am neither a Hillary supporter nor an Obama supporter. There are things I respect and admire about Barack Obama and there are things I dislike. There are things I respect and admire about Hillary Clinton and there are things I dislike.
If you've read this far, believe me, I know that who I support is of no concern or interest to anyone besides me.
My point is that I don't have an agenda with this post. All I'm attempting to convey is that in November of 2008, we will make history. The first African American or the first female will be elected President representing the DEMOCRATIC party.
I intend to vote for whomever is the nominee, and I won't have to hold my nose to do so. I believe that Hillary Rodham Clinton would make an excellent President and I believe that Barack Hussein Obama would make an excellent President.
Separating the wheat from the chaff in this forum has become all but impossible with all the inflammatory posts denigrating the 'other' side. We are all on the SAME side, folks. We are all DEMOCRATS. Trashing the 'other' side doesn't make your candidate the better candidate.
JMHO. And, I am sure YMMV.
