No Right Wing Cannon Fodder From DSB When Reagan Dies...
I didn't vote for the man... I actively opposed his candidacy in 1976, 1980, and 1984 but I am not going to say anything mean upon his death....

I disagreed with his policies but I'll save my venom for history's really bad guys...

Go Lakers....

1. Thanks, DSB!
Fair comment on Reagan and his policies, etc., will be tolerated in this forum. Gross breaches of etiquette and taste will be dealt with.... otherwise.

Thanks for setting a good example!

7. Reagan was a murderer also
Just not on that scale.

I don't care if it's one or six million, a murderer is a murderer.

10. Dealing with terrorists in Iran was a huge mistake
another fool like Bush. I am sure he meant well.

12. The Arms For Hostages Fiasco...
Let's see if I rememember...

We were clandestinely selling arms to Iran and then using the proceeds to fund the contras...

You can debate the merits of funding the contras... I'm all for creating liberal democracies but I don't know if that was the right policy....

I do know that Reagan never occupied a foreign country cept for his little thing in Grenada...

4. My sentiments exactly. I'm sure the righties have already written
their remarks about their outrage over the left's dissing Ronnie. Let's make them throw away the script.

6. For Some Reason
I don't dislike him nearly as much as Bush...

He did have an avuncular quality...

Bush reminds me of Eddy Haskell....

9. You're Right!
He did have the ability (atleast, although I believe that it was genuine) to project a great personal warmth. I remember some commentary in '84 that he had been elected the national grandfather.

He was a president that mzny people liked even if they disagreed with him. In other words, just like the RW media tells us that we feel about president moron.

I personally will never celebrate the death of another, especially since he hasn't had his faculties since about 1983.

By the way, didn't the reagans and the bushes hate each other?

11. I'm Watching Chimpy Deliver The D Day Speeches
At least Reagan could give a decent speech and didn't accent all his words... What's up with that...

I never voted for him but he seemed like he'd be ok as your uncle as long as you didn't discuss politics...

Also, I don't think he thought he was born to rule like Smirk...

He did have much more humility than the former governor of Texas.

14. Yes... The Reagans And Bushes Dislike Each Other...
Also, I'll take Nancy Reagan over Barbara Bush any day...

Nancy Reagan was what she was... She never bought into the hype like Barbara Bush that nobody can dislike her...

21. What I find funny is...
Bush gave this very short speech on Reagan's death but needed to read the page after every sentence. Which makes it obvious a speechwriter did his work for him.

Now Bush uses Reaganomics to an extreme, you'd think he could give a nice 4-5 minute unscripted speech glowing about the man right? Apparently not. Bush is too dumb to even give a short eulogy to one of his heroes without having to be fake about it.

Just another reason to be disgusted with El Chimpo.
