1. it's unusual for major party presidential candidates to speak

at high school graduations. but i think a kid wrote kerry a letter asking for something and kerry said he will speak at the graduation. since it's high school they made sure it wasn't a very political event. i saw some pictures of it and they had a moment of silence for reagan. i'm glad kerry did this though. it's important for kids to get involved even before they can vote .
