This country is insanely racist
I just ran across the following abc news article:

http://blogs.abcnews.com/politicalpunch/2008/04/obamas-college.html?cid=110388512#comment-110388512

At the bottom they have a comments section where anyone can post. This is a story about Obama visiting Pakistan as part of studying international relations during his college years. A bunch of idiots jumped right in and claimed this was evidance that he is a muslim, that he is unpatriotic, and worse.

I can't wait for the day Obama is elected our president, maybe some of this racism will finally be dealt with. There is no way this should be happening in this country in this day and age.

1. Because of one idiot, the whole country is racist?
If that's the case, how is it we'll have an African-American President?

2. Really now? We should be over our racism by now. Yet the only race issue thats been
talked about for over 20 years is the one Reagan said during the 80's, welfare queens. Everything from affirmative action, to welfare to disability to jobs all revolves around the belief that blacks were getting an unfair advantage over whites and it was promoted by the gop. It was the gop that convinced the american worker that you didn't get that high paying job you were entitled to or that big job promotion you didn't get it because that black guy had an unfair advantage over your sorry white face. Your disabled white kid had to wait 3 years to get his disability? Well that black guy there went up to the social security building claimed he had a mental handi cap and walked out with a check in his hand. When your pregnant white daughter walked up to the welfare office she had to wait for hours to see a caseworker yet the black woman with 15 kids got in to see the case worker in 15 minutes and she then packed her kids in to a brand new caddy with a bag full of cash and food stamps. Yeah racism should have been gone by now.

3. I know a way to deal with it
You and others may not like it, but with no habeas corpus and Guantanamo Bay and torture sites open for business we can always keep the status quo for another 8 years to keep the radical conservatives and racists in line.

Sure, it's not the way Democrats are "supposed" to do business. But if someone wants to behave like an "enemy combatant" after January 20, 2009...
