1. Not a chance.
No way will Bush* and his right-wing warmongers scare me out of my own country. I'll go down fighting.

3. Most people who say they will are just blowing smoke
A few might do it, but most will crap out. I knew one guy in 2000 who swore he would leave in Bush became president. A year later hre had watered that down to saying tht he "might move", and by 2003 he said that he was never serious about doing it and that he was just blowing smoke.

18. Agreed, almost all of the people who make a statement like that...
have no idea what they are getting into. ONce they realize how much work it is, they are happy just to deal with it here.

4. Move to Canada
I'm not going to give up that easily. I'm not going to give up at all in fact. Corporatism can be stopped, it's been done before.

6. Wish I'd gone when I could have
Missed the chance to live in a sane country. Now the roots go too deep here and the family has too many branches to move them all. I wouldn't want to go so far from my kids is the main thing. Of course, Canada's been looking good to them, too, but for different reasons, they can't really go. I wish I'd gone 35 years ago and raised them there. I thought our country would be getting better, though, not going mad.

I am perfectly willing to accept a free ride either way - north or south. Either way, you get some great scenery, better drugs, um, I mean healthcare...

12. I look at it this way...if bush somehow got in again
he'd be the one in trouble. Not us. It's not like it was a year ago, when everybody was sucking up to him. People are starting to ask the right questions and bush has no answers. That coach is turning back into a pumpkin, and I love it. They can't do enough damage control to get him through another four years. I figure if he doesn't lose in '04, he'll be impeached in '05.

14. Not a f**king chance.....
This is MY country, OUR country, I will fight until my last breath, and I know I'm not alone.....

I will NOT cede America to the Bush fascists, no f**cking way, they'd have to kill me, and millions of others, first.....

(flexes muscles, roars, that felt GOOD)

15. I feel stuck, to be honest
I would LIKE to move if Bush wins (I have a 5-year-old boy to worry about. If it was just me, I wouldn't move), but since Bush would still be in power, I'd have no money to move since I can only get a low-paying job.

16. Me.
It'll take us two years after to get equity enough in our house to move, but my husband is Canadian, and lately I feel more at home there than I do here.

I want to stay and fight, but he moved down here because of me.
The guilt I would feel at telling his family that something happened to him because of me would crush me. I love him with all my heart, and would never let anything happen to him. If I were single, I'd go down fighting with every last breath I have.

Judge if you must, but I'm closer to his family in Alberta than my own (mom) here. My family is small and estranged. I have no reason to stay if Bush is reSelected.

19. I'm seriously thinking about moving there, even if kerry wins.
This country is totally owned by the aristocracy, and the government no longer serves the commom people, if it ever did.

20. When a toilet overflows
you don't just go to another room.

As gross as it is, you have to get in there with a plunger.

21. I think Costa Rica is safer.
My girlfriend moved there, I'm afraid Canada will receive the Austria treatment if this lying Nazi steals another one.
