I can't wait to see F911 this weekend. Especially the part where Bush sits frozen in the classroom for 7 solid minutes after learning about the second plane hitting the WTC. We've all heard about it, but imagine how we are going to feel when we really see it, in real time, slow action.
Just like the Abu Ghraib scandal, sometimes it takes a visual image to get people to really feel the outrage.
So here is my idea for a series of commercials to air this fall, in time for the election:
Run 7 one-minutes commercials in sequence during a popular program (the Olympics?), each minute is a minute of that sequence in Moore's film, with some catchy caption. I don't think we could run a 7-minute long commercial, but we could run 7 "different" commercials so that viewers can feel the unease over watching our "fearless" leader in action that day. Each of the first six minutes would end with "to be continued". Even if we can only afford to air the series once, think of the press we would get. That alone might be worth it.
Who wants to help think of what the voiceover should say, or the text to go on the screen?
Anyone from MoveOn reading this, take this idea - you can make it happen, I alone cannot!
