LaMarche chosen as Green VP candidate
<MILWAUKEE (AP) -- Former Maine gubernatorial candidate Pat LaMarche has been chosen as the vice presidential running mate of one of the Green Party presidential candidates.

David Cobb announced his choice of LaMarche at the Green Party national convention that continues through the weekend in Milwaukee.

LaMarche is an Augusta radio personality who ran for governor in 1998 on the Green Party ticket. She won seven percent of the vote.

Cobb is a California attorney who says he would campaign more intensely in states where the outcome is predictable, either for President Bush or Democrat challenger John Kerry.

Cobb says he would seek votes in swing states, but not as strongly, with the ultimate goal being to remove Bush from office.>

1. I'm glad they're being reasonable
and that they're on board. I have no problem with the greens, so long as they realize that 2000 was a big mistake.

2. This is the height of silliness
"I'm running for President, but don't vote for me if you live in a state where the the outcome of the race in unsure."

3. That's SWEET.
I've been following the Nader situation pretty closely (I hate him). David Cobb got more than twice the number of Green Party delegates as the Green guy (Camejo) Nader picked as VP. Camejo was running for the Green Party presidential nomination before he saw he couldn't win it. Nader got only 86 Green delegates (less than Camejo).

Pat LaMarche also has a pretty strong following in the Green Party. Cobb picking LaMarche could very well mean that Nader doesn't get the Green nomination. Many Greens are pissed off that Nader dissed the Greens earlier and only now is seeking the Green nomination because he can't make it as an Independent candidate.

Nader is a backstabbing, egotistical hypocrite.
