Poll at Ohio Kerry Rally ...Edwards wins
Watching CBS News just a few minutes ago, when the crowd was polled about a V.P...Edwards came up the winner...reporter said Edward's being form the South didn't matter to these Ohio people....one person he spoke to said she supported Gep. but was not enthusiastic about him

Edward's has been campaiging in Ohio for Kerry, and Kerry is running ahead in Ohio...I know he has been there one time and I think several times.

2. If it is not going to be Edwards
Kerry better start making some noise about someone else.

The media and the higher ups in the party all seem to be focused on Edwards.

Don't get me wrong, I'm fine with Edwards, I just hope Kerry is. But he is a big boy and can take care of himself.

6. Exactly!
Which makes me think it has to be Edwards... Otherwise Kerry has to know the media will question his decision all the way up to Nov 2nd.

4. Gep is a good guy, but
he reminds me of Opie on the old Andy Griffiths Mayberry show. I don't feel he'd light the fire of the undecided voter like Edwards could. Besides, wouldn't Gep be better for us as Minority Leader trying to become Majority Leader?

5. I just got back from that rally
The speakers there really lit the place up, especially Congressional Candidate Jeff Seemann. Eric Fingerhut has this amazing ability to rattle off his lines from memory. The speakers did a great job of tying in the failed Bush economy, outsourcing of jobs, and the heinous support of outsourcing by the Bush administration. I got this great bumpersticker from the steelworkers that said "outsource Bush".

Did I mention that Jeff Seemann kicked? He was a tough act to follow. They made us wait over half an hour after he spoke before Kerry and Fingerhut spoke.

7. Jeff did a great job
I have an extra Outsource Bush sticker - slightly bent - that I'll send to the first person to PM me.

Sorry I missed you, Spike. I ran into AWD and his crew everywhere I went.

8. Sorry, but you're polling the wrong people
The people attending a pro-Kerry rally are going to vote for Kerry regardless of who his VP pick is. The real question is which VP prospect, if any, can bring additional voters into the fold, the kind of people you won't see at a Kerry rally.

Edwards campaigned hard for Kerry in Ohio, with Edward's he will carry Ohio & North Carolina, then with Edwards and clark in Ok...we might just turn OK...blue

10. Virginia Kerry supporters also want Edwards
I realize this is just a small little group, but I found it interesting the age differences between old and young who support Edwards and the fact that they are all part of the Kerry meet-up. It is a reflection of what I saw in my own caucus. The Kerry people were all very supportive of a Kerry/Edwards ticket.

A group of Roanoke-area Kerry supporters decided Thursday that John Edwards would be the best match.

At what they called a Veepstakes, nearly 60 people gathered at Patrick Henry High School to vote for their preference to accompany the Democratic senator from Massachusetts in his battle for the White House.

Of the 54 people who voted, 27 named North Carolina Sen. John Edwards the best choice. In second place was New Mexico Gov. Bill Richardson with 16 votes. Gov. Mark Warner was included in the Veepstakes but got only three votes.
