more "diversity" in early primary states ? |
|
does anyone think it would be better if the primary system for the democratic party allowed for more than 1 state to be part of the first primary states. what i mean is in addition to new hampshire people in a few other states would vote the same day. maybe get some states from different parts of the country and with more diversity. i say this because of new hampshire polls showing braun and sharpton with 0 percent. and also, i would have to say a reason for edwards low standing has to do with lack of minority voters in the state also.i would exclude some of the biggest states like california and new york from the early primary because i still think it's good for candidates to meet with as many people as they can which is better in smaller states.

somewhere like New Mexico, or Lousiana, or Nevada would be a good one to add in the early mix.
