Is Lieberman This Election Cycle's Orrin Hatch ???
I remember wondering what the hell Orrin Hatch was doing in the rePub field last time around. Seemed to me he didn't have much of a chance, and he didn't take any big swings against 'ole Georgie-boy as I recall. I always thought that he was there as some form of absorber\deflector\protector for GW during the 2000 primaries and debates.

I know it's different with Lieberman in that he was actually on the ticket last time around, but now it seems to me that he's there not so much because he knows he's gonna win this thing, but for some 'other' mission. Ya know?

Or am I just being :tinfoilhat: ???

3. Lieberman originally led the national polls, and he
Lieberman originally led the national polls, and he criticizes Dean for the same reason his campaign also criticizes Clark:

Dean and Clark are ahead of Lieberman and he figures that criticizing them will help him catch up.

I don't think there is a hidden agenda here.

4. Yeah, But That Lead Was Built Almost Entirely On Name Recognition...
from the 2000 race.

Most still know him, but fewer and fewer are supporting him. Just wondering how long he can hang in there, and to what end???

Will he end up hanging in longer than ordinary to help stop Dean, or Clark?

5. More like Alan Keyes...
Only a little less so. Actually Lieberman is his own "brand".

7. I don't know about your theory
But man, you just nailed a comparison dead on. I'll never be able to look at Joe again without thinking "Hatch".
