Not just bad math but lies again from Hilary
Edited on Sat May-03-08 11:54 AM by Egnever
So she will pay for the gas holiday with the windfall profits tax on big oil?

I guess the aggresive plan to reduce our dependance on foreign oil she promissed people in Montana was just a lie to get their votes.

Hillary Clinton has proposed an aggressive plan to reduce our reliance on foreign oil, address global warming, and promote alternative energy.

As President, Hillary will be a strong partner with Montana, investing $150 billion in research, development, and deployment of clean energy over the next decade, including $50 billion through a Strategic Energy Fund paid for with a windfall profits tax on large oil companies.

1. Hill has a tailor made promise for every state
But is she keeping a list of her promises so if she was to get in office she could go down the list and fulfill each promise? I don't think so. Just my opinion.

7. You got that right!
So many lies, and each time she hopes the voters are to uninformed to notice.

The one thing that should be front and center on her "windfall gas tax" is that even if by some miracle congress did pass the bill, and "IF" they could do it this summer, Bush would never let it become law, he would VETO it in a heart beat! Why can't people understand that? Hillary is just lying in order to try and get votes, that's all it is. Just like she has done on so many other things. It's the same old promises that we hear every year "before" the election, and then never hear about them again "after" the election!

2. Who is it that is math challenged?
The gas holiday proposal is for summer THIS YEAR. Hillary, if she becomes president, will be in office NEXT YEAR to enact further proposals.

4. Windfall profits taxes for 3 months this year won't effect
windfall profit taxes from the next administration.

5. You are looking for logic from a candidate that made an economic proposal
that no economist support - including the ones backing her.

It's pandering - nothing more, nothing less. And it's the same kind of pandering that has left this county without a reliable health care system and landed us in a dumb-ass war in the middle east - playing on ignorance leads to ignorant policies. We've had decades of it - Hillary is simply promising us all more of the same.
