I'm just one of the "senior fellows," as the site regulars are called.

I took a breather from DU for a while, because I was overdosing on the irony of Obama fans chanting rabidly that they weren't cult members, back when that was the topic du jour.

After my fellow Americans did us proud by keeping Hillary in the race in Ohio and Texas, I rejoined the living, if you call this living. The tenor of the conversation here has gotten lower and dumber, but I figure I can maybe pitch in to try to blunt the lies and Hillary hate a little. It's a tough job, but as I see on another thread, apparently I'm being paid handsomely for it! Who knew?

I'm assuming you must be since you still support her. This is the exact type of partisanship bickering that needs to end, and that's one of the many things that Obama represents. If Hillary hadn't proposed this gas tax holiday, her supporters would be berating John McCain over it if she was the frontrunner.

We'll welcome you into the fold pretty soon, toward a newer, better America moving away from the 'static America'.

I think the analogy fits pretty well, because after a while you gotta wonder if it's an accident when a Democrat keeps calling the Republicans the "party of ideas," Reagan "transformative," and progressives "Chablis-drinking limousine liberals" and "perverse."
