The following is the definition of a Hill Low info Voter
Dept. of cognitive dissonance

It's a bit of a puzzle to me, though maybe it shouldn't be, that some voters seem perfectly able to hold in their heads simultaneously the notion that Obama's a Muslim and that his Christian pastor is a problem.

A particularly pungent passage from Richmond, IN Palladium-Item:

"I am definitely going to try to go with Hillary," said . "I almost feel like anti-Christ from the Middle East."

Bunger reads news online about the election and has been "trying to talk everybody into voting, especially this year because I'm really scared for Obama to get it."

Bunger worries about the Illinois senator's ties to Rev. Jeremiah Wright, whose recent remarks and former association with the candidate made headlines the past couple months.

ALSO: In my limited anecdotal experience, and as Lynn Sweet reports today, the Muslim smear is in the air a bit in Indiana.

1. Idiots are always being quoted as "really scared" that a Democrat will be elected.
But they seem totally unfazed by the lunatic running the country into the ground for the past seven years. I don't get it.

3. You don't get it because it's not get-able.
These folks are raised to be what they are, and they don't know why they're the way they are, but they're willing to die for the right to BE the way they are. It's called tradishin. The "lunatic running the country" seems to be their kind of guy.

4. Don't know that the rest of the world is a hideous wasteland populated by mutant cannibals?
We can't be led astray by nebulous goals such as 'improving society' or similar hogwash, when we are only a step away from hideous pain, suffering and death at the hands of the ravening hordes. They're not like us! Why can't people SEE?!?!?!?!?!?!!!!!!

Seriously, it's a truism in the low-budget film biz (where I work) that schlock-horror sells best in the red states.

6. There were low info Obama supporters but they got scared off by Rev Wright.
Anyone who decided not to support Obama because of his minister's sermons automatically qualifies as a low-info voter.

8. You seem to suggest only one of the poles
pander to such folk. Not so my friend, I just don't feel the need to trash Obama right now.

9. but don't you dare use those terms or you are an elitist who can't understand "regular Americans"
because we are all twisted "irregular Americans", if we're allowed to be Americans at all.

10. Didn't expect former KKK HQs host to do otherwise
It was a while back but not so long ago that proud Hoosiers made up the bulk of the organization. Slowly things change. But very, very slowly.
