So, both are candidates are beating McCain, and our likely nominee is beating him by a pretty comfy margin coming out of this epic primary battle that was "tearing the Democratic Party apart."
The poll has already been mentioned, I see, but, why, this news calls for a drink! Cheers, Democratic Underground!!

- 64% of Democrats say Clinton should remain in the race, including 42% of Obama’s supporters.
- 39% have Clinton as the preferred choice of Obama’s running mate — with 59% being African Americans, 47% being Clinton supporters, 42% of women (vs. 34% of men)
– 39% of Americans say they’d be uncomfortable with a president first taking office at age 72, 16% say they’d be uncomfortable with a woman, 12% say they’d be uncomfortable with an African-American.
– Six in 10 Americans and 73% of Democrats say Obama has done “the right amount” to distance himself from Wright.
