6. If McCain isn't the nominee, I don't think Huckabee will be the replacement
Just a hunch, but I'd guess it'd be Romney.

8. If for some reason McGramps is not the nominee
I seriously doubt it will be the Huckster. I can't decide which I find more frightening, a Huckabee presidency or a McCain presidency.

9. I beat you to it a while back
:P.. I have always felt that McCain was a "placeholder".. he seems pretty uninspired by his own campaign, and is only going through the motions..and they keep calling him the "presumptive" nominee..

I don't think it will be Huckleberry though..

With the late start we are getting, I think it would be very republican to pull a switcheroo at the convention, just to shake things up and befuddle Obama's people who have been preparing an anti-McCain run..

I'm guessing Romney/Huckabee could be the ticket..or Romney/Newty

11. You may have something. It's so unlike Repukes to allow themselves to look as bad as McShame.
Considering how the MSM participated in portraying President Silver Spoon AWOL Mama's Boy as the Marlboro Man. Everything they do is so choreographed and it all unfolds like a poorly written Movie of the Week. You can see it coming if you're a wee bit savvy. (Who really believed that the IWR was about disarmament and securing peace?) And what the plot points so far in the GOP campaign would be leading to in scripted fiction is McShame dramatically stepping aside for... Huckabee, Romney, or even CHeney. Now that Charlton Heston is dead, they have has to rewrite!
