"The Hillary Herd" - he we come!
Well, time to start looking at the glass as almost full again, boys and girls! We have a nominee, and a terrific candidate. I supported the Hill, but now want to make sure that the herd of us who did - come to the table with our votes and support. The media will quickly turn on Obama, if they haven't already begun. So we Hillary folk have, I believe, a moral duty to elect Democrats. Clinton has long said she would support the nominee, and those who talk of supporting McCain (McCain?????) need to listen to someone we all respect: the Junior Senator from New York.

2. The Dems had a number of excellent candidates in the primary
The poor Repubs had no good choices.

Although I finally decided to vote for Hillary in the CA primary, I have always said I would support whoever was our nominee--with great enthusiasm.

Obama will be a wonderful President.

Run a search on the DU engine for Hillary herd and yes, it's clearly an insult.

12. OOOOOO - someone else used "herd" negatively
Edited on Sun Jun-08-08 10:30 AM by placton
and your point is? In context, it is clear I am saying - a large group of related people should move in the direction of our candidate. Got a problem with that?

13. My point is simple. Why use the word "herd" to describe people? It's demeaning.

21. My dear Placton...
Please limit your vocabulary to only those words necessary for the basic details of the noun at hand. Any use of simile, metaphor or other such descriptive language is strictly forbidden as individuals with fifth grade vocabularies and no sense of humor whatever will be offended by your words.

Have a nice day.

22. Oh, you have MUCH bigger problems than that.
Starting with being easily offended, having no sense of humor, and not recognizing the basic English language concept of assonance.

11. Bravo! America is in it's present state due to petty hatred. For Hillary
voters to think that they can spite the rest of the world by voting for McCain, could very well be the final nail in America's coffin. I don't believe that America can survive another republican president. Bravo to you for acknowleding that.
