How about Obama/Kucinich?!
Edited on Tue Jun-10-08 01:49 AM by dubeskin
It seems like we have a ticket which not only inspires hope and change, but also that unites the party against the greater evil, not to mention that both champion the common person!

1. I'm going to assume this is just wishful thinking
Besides, has DK even endorsed Obama yet?

4. The repugs are gonna pick a woman. Trying to get some Hillary supporters.
I'd be happy with Kucinich. I'd be happy with Wes Clark. A woman strong on national defense would kick ultimate ass!

8. I like him but
Edited on Tue Jun-10-08 03:16 AM by 4themind
I think he'd be happier, and have more influence day to day within congress, or maybe even a run for the senate. He wouldn't be able to draw up resolutions and bills on the issues he cares about while being V.P. His personality is too strong to play "second fiddle" IMO. He needs to have the freedom to speak his mind even if it goes against what obama wants, and to publicly remind and reprimand those who stray within the progressive spectrum.

10. Yes, that's a great idea.
Let's pair Obama with someone who makes Nader look like FDR. Maybe one of the Berkeley tree sitters will be available.

I can't imagine Obama even considering DK as a running mate.

19. Oh, FUCK. NO.
Kucinich may be the "champion of the common person" here at DU, but he's a crazed elf to the majority of the U.S.

20. Kucinich hasn't even endorsed Obama yet
Kucinich and Gravel are the only former Democratic candidates who have yet to endorse Obama. Gravel left the party and tried to get the Libertarian nomination.

What is Kucinich waiting for?
