Morning Joe panel was getting on my nerves today
They were making a big deal about the Barack camp supposedly trying to attack McCain's age. They kept bring up the "lost his bearings" comment as an attack on McCain's age. I could not hear all of it because I had a guest that was leaving but what I heard sure ticked me off. They are desperate to put John McCain in a good like. Oh and Mike Barnicle was on there taking up for John McCain too. Pathetic.

1. I think it is a double-edged sword...
The more they talk about it, the more the Obama campaign can deny that is the case, and the more the old folks question McCain's ability to be Commander-in-Chief. Just the other day, my Mom - who is 79 years old said about McCain, "He's too old."

2. The morning show is just horrible
Then during the day it improves slightly but still hard to watch.

Today its' well Obama is only ahead by 7 points - is that a problem Pat?

3. I watch less and less of MSNBC now. Don't watch Abrams or Scarborough anymore....
and I seldom watched Matthews. I don't care much for Gregory, either.

Since MSNBC is the only MSM news channel I watch, it is seriously cutting into my news/opinion watching.

7. Me, neither. I'm down to watching Keith, and that's it. He and Rachel Maddow
keep me sane, but all the others are just filled with ridiculous babble.

12. I don't watch any other news stations. CNN is notoriously unreliabe...
and, IMO, they were the worst of the news purveyors when it came to being tools for the Bush administration. Fox News is much worse, but CNN has the same issues, just less in degree.

4. Take heart, no one is watching
The average voter has never heard of "Morning Joe" much less watched it. In the big scheme of things the ratings for these shows are tiny.

5. Why don't they always?
get on your nerves that is.

It's one of the worst shows on the two cable news channels (discounting the Faux Newspeaktainment channel here).

10. They were also bashing Gen. Clark for supporting Sen. Obama
over former War Hero and POW John McCain (over McCain's "not too important remark"). Joe Scarhead went to great lengths to express how he could not beleieve that Wes Clark would attack McCain while supporting someone who has never worn a uniform.

19. Joe's an idiot.
Edited on Thu Jun-12-08 11:08 AM by Clark2008
But, then again, Joe probably thinks women will only support women, white people will only support white people and all Christians are fundies.

:eyes:

Edited to add: Clark's probably on the VP short list, which is why Joe even brought up his phony ire.

13. I missed that
Morning Joe comes on at 3:00 a.m. here so unless I am having a neuropathy attack I don't see it. This morning I watched at Joe was questioning Senator Obama's judgment about Johnson and I started sputtering and wrote another email.

They ignore McCain's lobbyists and worry about Johnson. Graham (sp) was involved in creating the mortgage crisis, bilking California out of millions during the energy crisis and who knows what else. He got a half day and as far as I can tell, the MSM let him go on his merry way.

16. Scarborough was being very inconsistent.....
Half of the time he was complaining to Susan Rice and Harold Ford about it and the other half of the time he was saying it was just politics. And then he said it was a good strategy, because it was a very pointed message and the entire Obama campaign was being very consistent with it.

17. Apparently being a POW equals "foreign policy experience"
That was really - REALLY - annoying.

18. Bingo!
That is what they are selling. His decisions in the US Senate clearly make him unqualified to be Commander in Chief. Being a Prisoner of War does not make one an expert in foreign policy. That needs to be stated more often.

20. It's obviously not a reference to his naval service. Old people have bearings, not navigators.
