2. I am not disappointed at all that Obama is not Dennis Kucinich,
although I realize this is probably a minority opinion here where Kucinich is worshipped as a god and can do no wrong. If Obama was Kucinich, though, he would not be Obama.

3. As a Kucinich supporter, I think I understand what you mean
And I know that, and I am not disappointed.
Yet, I think there is a modicum of integrity that a person like Obama needs to keep in order to fend off the attacks of the right wing. His Philadelphia speech was a masterpiece, and so was his approach to the Cubans in Miami.
Compared to that, his AIPAC speech sounded more like pandering, and adopting the usual RW terminology than bringing something new as he did in Philadelphia and Miami.

That's all I mean. He doesn't have to be Dennis. He just has to stick to his own motto of "change". Threatening Iran is not change. Talking about breaking down barriers with Cuba in front of Cuban exiles, is change. Addressing full front the question of race is change.

That kind of thing.

5. I worry about that.
Balancing change with the status quo will get even harder for Obama as the campaign progresses. Hopefully he can pull it off.

7. no, and Dennis isn't going to become president-
at least in the time I have left to live.

Which is a dissapointment to me, but I am only one person out of billions, who make up this country.

As frustrating as it may be for us to accept this, NO candidate is going to avoid disapointing us.

In some way, at some time.

Those who believe otherwise are probably either young, and innocent- or old, with selective memories.

peace~

Elizabeth would need Dennis' step ladder to kiss him.

10. Very nice to see cooler heads prevailing today. Had to leave
the board last night. Too much hysteria for me. Screeching, squawking, sky is falling BS yesterday gave me a damn headache.

22. Cooler heads is what we need.
I come and go, hoping the hysteria will pass and then become disappointed that it has not. Oh, and yes the SKY IS FALLING so we better run for cover. :sarcasm: I did not know that chicken little knew how to blog because I am sure tired of the squawking here also. I have a craving for fried chicken suddenly. ;)

14. We don't want to hurry up with the change or anything.
That would be rash.

And it's not like we have major problems that need rapid changing anyways....

24. yep.
And as much as I love Dennis, Obama was working as an issue-oriented movement activist when Dennis was always working to get himself elected. I appreciate that in Obama.

25. Kucinich is no saint either, but you wouldn't know it the way some DUer's talk about him.
We've got a good man running for the white house...
he's bound to make mistakes, and make us frustrated, but this is not the end of the world.
