God, they really don't even try and hide the bias anymore...And I know, I take ANYTHING that Politico says with a grain of salt.

Bringing full closure to the speculation that he will join John McCain's campaign, GOP strategist Mike Murphy will be announced tomorrow as a political analyst for NBC News, according to a source familiar with the arrangement.
Murphy acknowledged the move but declined to comment.
He has been a regular on "Meet the Press" this election season, often appearing alongside veteran Democatic consultant Bob Shrum, but had been rumored for weeks to be re-joining McCain's team.
By inking a network contract, however, he all but ensures that his advice will be dispensed via the airwaves or in private conversations with the candidate.
Murphy served as a top strategist in McCain's 2000 run but stayed on the sidelines this year as the Arizona senator and Mitt Romney, another former Murphy client, battled it out in the GOP primary.
Friends say he had been anxious to take a formal role with McCain, but top McCain aides had little enthusiasm for his return and Murphy was thought to have wanted full strategic authority as a condition for coming on board.
