A local radio host in my town said Bob Barr "looks like Rev. Wright"

He really said this. The GOP is worried about Barr. While trying to push the meme this morning about how bad Barr would be and how voting for him would be a wasted vote, the guy goes on to say, "Who IS Bob Barr? The guy looks like Reverend Wright."

Now, I took this two ways

1. They are trying to say Bob Barr is black and so racists won't be doing themselves any favors by voting for the secret black dude
2. What is so bad about looking like Reverend Wright? This is also racist. What does his appearance have to do with anything?

They are trying to bully right wingers into voting for McCain. :rofl: They are so stupid. The GOP makes the right wing its bitch every election. :rofl:

6. I was talking to my Mom on Sunday. She had just seen something on CNN (I think) which

showed a photo of Barr as a young man. She said he looked like a black guy who was passing as white. It surprised her enough to mention it to me. She asked how he had been on race issues. I said all I knew was he was a Republican from Georgia so I assumed he used the Republican's southern strategy. I mainly remember him initially from the Clinton impeachment crap.

I wouldn't be surprised at all if the Republicans are trying to figure out a way to limit the number of votes they are going to lose to Barr. I'm sure it will be something nasty from them. It always is.

12. I grew up near Bob Barr's district and most of us black people in GA

assumed that Bob had some black ancestry. He's been silent on this and has refused to answer any questions about his racial and ethnic background. But the rumor persists to this day. Many of us think he's biracial and trying to pass. He looked more ethnic when he was younger.
