If you want to satirize the media's portrayal of Obama, then do that.

2. PUH LEAZE. Intellegent and Sophisitcated Americans like myself do not need frames of reference

to understand satire. It just comes to me, like in a dream, and I have a subscription to New Yorker like an overwhelming number of Americans do so I "get" their humor and know their political leanings.
