the problem the New Yorker has with doing a McCain cover ---
is that the stories are true - the adultery, the bribes, the land deals, the temper, the fabulous life-style, the media's hands-off policy, the confusion on the most simple things

4. The problem is that Hensley & Co is the 5th largest distributor of alcohol & energy drinks &
those two industries pay HUGE advertising costs in Conde Nast magazines. THAT'S why McCain gets a pass in the media.

5. I think they'll do a cover to illicit sympathy for McCain.
The people at the New Yorker aren't stupid. They knew the cover would not help Obama.

7.  Satire EXAGGERATES the TRUE. Reason #1 for the failure of the Obama cover.

It needed the obvious depiction of the HOLDERS of these opinions of the Obamas, if said holders are the "real" target of the "satire".
