About McCain as Commander-in-Chief

There are a lot of good soldiers who have provided exemplary service to this country. However, as a military friend pointed out, being a good soldier does not automatically qualify someone to be a good commander-in-chief. It's about JUDGMENT. How McCain would act as commander-in-chief was on display when he voted for the biggest foreign policy debacle in the history of this country. Then he travels to Iraq and has to have Lieberman whispering into his ear.

I respect McCain's service but based on his actions to date believe he would make a terrible commander-in-chief. Democrats with military credentials need to make this argument. It can even be made indirectly (as in, Obama doesn't have military experience but he has demonstrated the JUDGMENT that is required to be commander-in-chief). This country cannot afford another Iraq debacle and in the real world, supporting such a monumentally bad decision would be a career ending move.

McCain as commander-in-chief would be like taking the people responsible for Enron and putting them in charge of the commerce department or the treasury.
