The new MSM "Balance" covering McCain and Obama
At least, this is what I saw Mike Barnacle et al pushing last night, particularly when discussing states where Obama is ahead (paraphrased):

On Obama: "Why isn't he doing better than he is? Why isn't his lead larger? What's wrong?" Discussion ensues of his "problems."
On McCain: "Why does he even have a chance in that state? He should be further behind. What's he doing right?" Discussion ensues of his "strengths."

2. A couple of years ago, liberals were worried about how tough McCain...
...would be to beat.

McCain has charisma and he's widely perceived as a maverick.

Now that Obama is ahead in the polls, the mainstream media is bashing him for not being further ahead.
