The first article is Fareed Zakaria analysis in terms of foreign policy realism/idealism. He opines that the Bush/McCain language is essentially idealist (and very aggressive about it), and that Obama's language is realist.
http://newsweek.washingtonpost.com/postglobal/fareed_zakaria/2008/07/obama_foreign_policy_realist.htmlOn another level, of course, Obama's language is both realist, with respect facts, and idealist with respect his theme of hope and change.
A second interesting article
Overseas buzz differs for Obama, McCain
http://www.cnn.com/2008/POLITICS/07/21/mccain.obama/index.htmlThis article is very interesting in how it shows a photo of a very commanding Obama on a b-ball court with very happy and relaxed troops around him. The article explains that "overseas" support for Obama is 5-to-1, and I imagine this is across the world with only a few exceptions.
After all, this guy is expected to put to death Darth Vader.
