almost drove off the road laughing at Limbaugh today
We have little else to listen to, so as a break from music or NPR I will turn on the wingers until I get so pissed I can't stand it any more.
Lately however, Limbaugh has been a source of humor like no one else. Today he went on a rant about how Obama's foreign policy has been moving closer and closer to McCain and Bush's and the "drive-by media" refuses to report it. I was laughing so hard that my wife told me to stop laughing or stop driving.

1. I hear that!
I had a friend in a cubicle down the way, say she is going to mail them diapers. :)

2. Not so funny
Obama wants to keep troops in Iraq even after his 16 month deadline. And he wants more troops in Afghanistan. And he keeps open the possibility of more troops in Iraq should the need arise. So he definitely sounds a lot less anti-war than he did in the primary season.

USA Today did a piece today about that same issue. Maybe where Rush got it from.

3. True. Their positions are much closer now than they were a few months ago.

4. Show me where Obama was anti-war
Perhaps you've projected a quality onto him that never existed.

6. well
there was that running theme in his campaign that he was against the Iraq war from the very start. I kinda took that to mean he was against the war.

8. He WAS against the war
But he never proposed withdrawing all troops. Richardson, Kucinich and Gravel are the candidates who proposed total withdrawls.

7. U know, that is why I think Limbaugh is not so all powerful. Think about it, he has his
so called cult followers "dittoheads" I guess you call them. Hell, it makes no difference what a Dem says, does or how great he is, they are going to vote for the ignorant republican. You have those such as yourself or I that may tune in for a few minutes because the curiosity overtook us and we may just want to get a laugh about what he is going to say and the callers are pretty funny as well.

So, I still can't see how he makes much of a difference. I would say the same thing about one of ours who is way over to the left except that I think they may be more honest than those such as Limbaugh and Hannity.
