Bradley to Endorse Dean
Just saw this .... every time Lieberman snarls and bites Dean in the leg, he gets another backer. Wonder if it's been planned that way? He'll also get more supporters after Safire's column in the NY Times today - ripping Dean for his "Job" remark. Dean must be scaring them, when every thing he does is put under a huge microscope and torn apart.

3. Gore won...
...but Zell Miller is endorsing a losing presidential candidate. Furthermore, Bradley is respected, and that he and Gore, who were opponents, are endorsing the same campaign, says something. But whatever...

19. "says something"... yeah they are desperate to beat Bush..
and desperation isn't a quality you want to surround a campaign... surrounding a guy with failures and losers isn't a good way to win. Why do you think Bush tries to emulate Reagan instead of his daddy?

yes, I think the election was stolen in 2000... but Gore officially lost. And Bradley lost to Gore...

I want Dean to have an aura of victory... not defeat.

18. why? because I don't think the endorsements of losing politicians are...
important? this just in... Michael Dukakis is endorsing Dean...

Gore might have gotten more votes, and I do believe the election was stolen... but he's not in the White House... and officially he is the loser.

Why does Dean want to associate with politicians WHO HAVE LOST ELECTIONS?

I want Dean to win... surround him with Bill Clinton... and other successful Democrats (there are bound to be some) ;)

but Bill Bradley? oh for pete's sake... :eyes:

Bill Bradley is definitely a loser. I never-ever thought he had a chance in hell.

59. Kerry pressured Gore to concede
Molly don't you remember back in the recount fight in 2000 John Kerry put pressure on Gore to concede the election? Earlier in December after the Gore endorsement Kerry said that "Gore of all people should know not to make a decision of who wins before all the votes are counted". Kind of ironic considering that Kerry pushed gore to concede the race, probably because he wanted to run himdelf in 2004. Oh well another waffle by Kerry.

31. No I don't
But that's what makes the effort to turn this endorsement into a sign of the loser nature of the Dean campaign extra worthless. If Dean had his endorsements while your candidate had the endorsement of Jimmy Carter or Bill Clinton, then you would have something to crow about. They didn't, so you don't.

12. Bradley Felt Betrayed by Kerry in 2000
That's why he is endorsing Dean. In 2000, Bradley was expected Kerry's support but at the last minute, Kerry went with Gore. While I supported Bradley in 2000, I think he should do the party a favor and support the candidate he believes is most qualified. While I have no proof that he would go to Kerry based on qualifications, judging from their similiarities - Northeast progressives, Senatorial voting record, International perspective, Intelligent wives, Issues rather than slogan approach ----- it would make sense. Don't you think?

personally, I think endorsements are garbage... what potential voters are sitting around going... "hmmm I wonder who Al Gore or Bill Bradley think I should vote for..."

sorry, endorsements will only give the media more ammo to use against Dean.

29. This is so funny
You seem to be saying that the endorsement of someone who did not become president is worthless, despite whatever kind of long and distinguished career they may have had. Bradley kinda, ya know... DID have a long career in the senate too.

Down right hilarious.

Clark introduces a winning tax policy, and Dean is endorsed by the retired senator who got crushed by Gore in the primaries, who lost the presidency.

That would be like me calling Gary Hart a loser and thus his endorsement of Kerry to be worthless, when in actuality, Hart may not have won but he is one of the most learned men regarding international terrorism around.

21. The "Stop Dean Movement" is a MISERABLE FAILURE.
Another fine, real Democrat for Dean....

And they multiply every day...

Kerry is going down--sadly, in my opinion--because he has been a terrible campaigner.

Gephardt will be seriously damaged if Harkin comes out for Dean.

Clark may get some traction yet, but so far, not all that good.

Edwards is emerging as Dean's likely VP.

Lieberman will fade into the nothing that he deserves.
