10. it wasn't so much the speech, which was excellent
as the combination of the speech and the visuals--the way the sunlight hit Sen Obama's face, the way he looked like a vision of the "sunny nobility" Tweety wrongly ascribed to the chimp, the panoramas of the crowd. Just spectacular all around.

12. I shut my office down to watch history being made and
a great man whose place in history is now evident. On a lighter note, who is picking up the pieces of Rush Limbaugh's head after it exploded?

...this is almost too much to believe. What is this strange feeling? Is it...pride...in America? How rare it has been!

21. Is it RESONANCE with the integrity and simple humanity
Barack Obama embodies? I think it's more than pride in the place of provenance. It's resonating with an entire set of values common to honest, fair-minded people across the globe.

19. I never thought just 2 years ago I could ever have the hope I feel now!
Thank you Barack for just simply being you ~ We love you and pray for you everyday. You are the answer to my prayers. With 2 boys who have served in Iraq and another who had no health insurance and almost died because of it, how much I cherish you and the hope you bring to our country and its citizens.
