Berlin = Portland "Concert" redux??
Okay, the right wing hacks (and some PUMAs) are claiming that the only reason there were so many people at the Berlin rally was that there "was a concert afterwards".

Excuse me, didn't they say this for the Portland primary rally too??

Anyone care to verify if there was a concert after either event?? Would like some proof before I slap down the cranks

1. There is no arguing with those people. They will believe what they want to believe.
If they wish to think that 200,000 people showed up for a local band, then so be it. They are morons.

3. The people that are saying this are members of "The Aristocrats"
They have quite an act, that is famous for their family relations.

4. Yep. The Decembrists played at Portland

But they've played downtown before- and believe me, no one was there just to hear that band.

A better "excuse" for the turnout was that there was picture perfect weather after the coldest, wetest spring I can remember. My bet is that accounted for 10,000+ out of the 75,000 who were there.

5. Music was provided, from what I understand, for the crowd to
listen and dance too while they waited for Barack.

6. And that's normal for such an event
I'm curious about the concert afterwards claim, since it seems to be only from Obama-haters I see it

7. Yes, there was a free concert before his speech, from a band with at least one platinum album,
and a less popular reggae artist.

See my replies in this thread about FOX News mentioning the free concert:

My two replies there include a link to a German news article, and the Wikipedia article on the band.
