The soundite of the day: So if Karl Rove is watching today. . .
Edited on Mon Jan-05-04 01:05 PM by wndycty
CNN just played it, and it will played far and wide. I don't think he lost much by not participating in the debate yesterday.

This is not a thread to talk so much about his speech today as much as it is about him finding his voice, picking up steam and moving out. First there was the excellent "Meet The Press" yesterday, then the Chicago Tribune declaring:

"The Democratic presidential candidate who benefited most from the debate Sunday afternoon might well have been retired Gen. Wesley Clark.

He wasn't there."

And then his excellent speech today, not to mention his fundraising totals for 4Q.

Clark supporters, I am feeling like we are about to see something special happen in the next couple of weeks!

Wes Clark's life is simply an American story, but he will make an extraordinary American President.

4. That phrase has been corrected by his campaign staff.
It should read..."I'm going to kick the LIVING shit out of them."

I agree with you wndycty! Wes is on a roll!

3. hate to co-opt your story
but all of our candidates have lived an "American story" - and so have most of us.

The story we are living through now is more like an American nightmare - so I look forward to soundly thrashing Bush with whomever our eventual nominee is.

A Dean supporter who just had to get his/her 2 cents in on a Clark "feel good" thread! I'm shocked! Shocked I say! :eyes:

6. If you notice its "an American story," not "the"
I am sorry if you read my sig line as though it was saying he is the only candidate that has lived an American story. But there is a huge difference between "an" and "the."

9. The General can attack Bush on so many issues, on so many levels. Clark
could stay on the offensive. Dean is already on the defensive and will spend 80 percent of his resources on damage control if he is our nominee.

10. Ask Kerry and Gep and Joe what it's like going against Dean. Howard
sent them all to 'night school' last year...fright night school. #'s...#'s...#'s...it's all there is in this game.

Dean '04...

12. Dean had the luxury of a one-year headstart while legislators were doing
the business of the people. He won't get the jump on the Bush/Rove machine who welcome his candidacy.

13. You mean while legislators were voting for the IWR?
And while Wesley Clark was whoring for the war crowd on CNN and at their political fundraisers?

Well shit, just sounds to me like Dean is smarter and more worthy than the rest of the lot.
