New Poll Shows Obama-McCain Race Tightening in Pennsylvania

A new Quinnipiac University poll shows that Barack Obama’s overseas tour left voters in Pennsylvania and two other “swing” states unimpressed.

The Quinnipiac poll shows Barack Obama leading John McCain by seven points in Pennsylvania, 49 percent to 42 percent. But that’s actually down from a 12-point lead in the school’s last Pennsylvania poll, in mid-June.

Clay Richards, assistant director of the Quinnipiac University Polling Institute, believes a changing focus on issues is behind the numbers -- in particular, concerns about energy...

Quinnipiac polls also show the race tightening in Ohio and Florida.

Bigger leads would be nice, but this is much better than if McCain were leading.

Also, this far out, worrying too much about small shifts in poll numbers is silly.

9. Bull shit.. they are skewing the numbers.. and I have never gotten a

survey call.. I don't know many who have.. There base is land line persons who are actually home.. People are on vacation, at work, and not paying attention yet... Wait until after the Olympics and after the convention and then after the first debate.. I haven't met one person yet who is voting for McCain. I live in Florida. I don't see any McCain stickers on anyone's car. I only see Obama stuff and few old Hillary stickers. Bull shit they are close. By the time we get to the fall elections, we will have even more people clutching their purses and emptying their children's piggy banks to fill the care with gas.

19. Today on I95 by Palm Bay FL that is very Repug... I saw 5 Obama bumper stickers

and a BIG FAT 0 for McSame! To me, that was JOY!
