We need to send a clear message: Voting for an unnecessary war is a career limiting move.
Any politician who voted for the war SHOULD NOT be President or VP. We need to send a very loud clear message that voting for an unnecessary war will be a career limiting move (as in forget about any oval office plans).

Lincoln Chafee wrote in his book "Against the Tide:

“Being wrong about sending Americans to kill and be killed, maim and be maimed, is not like making a punctuation mistake in a highway bill.” Some leading Democrats “argue that the president duped them into war, but getting duped does not exactly recommend their leadership. Helping a rogue president start an unnecessary war should be a career-ending lapse of judgment.”

You would think it would be career-ending, but unfortunately we Americans seldom hold our politicians accountable for their actions.

1. I absolutely agree!
And "absolutely" is not a word I use real often.

I would be VERY confused by someone who is either an IWR capitulator or a neo-Con collaborator on the Obama ticket. That would affect my support behaviors BIG time.

3. Getting the Dems IN
just seems to empower the Blue Dogs. They are stronger now than before the 06 elections and they are calling the shots.

5. They're powerful now for a reason.
At this point, they are the "tie-breakers" between the Repubs and Dems. If we vote even just a few more *progressive* Democrats into office, the *real* Democrats will have a true majority.

We are already seeing some of this.
Hillary would be the Democratic nominee had she voted AGAINST Bush's War.
