Liberal Pundits and Swift Boat Liars Question

Liberal Pundits and Swift Boat Liars Question
Why don't they ever bring up the point that the Swifties say they only came out because Kerry decided to make his service a centerpiece of his campaign (most evident at the DNC), yet this group was formed before the convention, the 256-page book came out less than two weeks after the convention?

This information was obviously coming out at some point, so I find it hard to believe Kerry entirely brought it on himself. Why don't many pundits - if any - point this out?
