Political hacks needs to STFU
and just broadcast the speeches at the conventions. The first night CNN was all like...did the democrats waste the night without a clear message? How about you political hacks just STFU and stop talking over the people making speeches and maybe just maybe you can actually hear the message.

1. they like to hear themselves talk...
:puke:

I have been watching CSPAN. I like KO, but I can't stand the fact that he is talking over the speeches.

8. They are paid millions to blather like that
So even if they don't like to hear themselves talk, there's big money in it, bigger if you can manufacture drama. That goes for all of 'em.

3. I miss the grownups in the news business
John Chancellor, Howard K. Smith, Walter Cronkite, Eric Sevareid, David Brinbkley, Chet Huntley.

The adults. The professionals. The grownups.

5. I will not watch these liars who call themselves commentators/
Edited on Wed Aug-27-08 08:17 AM by alyce douglas
reporters whatever, they are just for the right wing propaganda machine, and they just show their allegiance to their corporate masters.

Been watching C Span!! and I will not give these other stations no play whatsoever. They are so full of crap.

6. I watch C-Span online and then PBS when they come on at 7PM
Jim Lehrer is a great moderator. And Mark Shields and David Brooks give good analysis and complement each other well. Of course, Brooks is often a shill, but it's a grown up discourse all around. Then Lehrer might cut to some historians like Richard Norton Smith and Michael Beschloss and they talk about some stuff for a bit. But they are pretty good about showing the speeches and giving insightful analysis and commentary the whole time. I love PBS, lol.

7. The american people aren't allowed to make up our own minds.
The MSM will tell us what we are supposed to think. They are smarter than us. Just check your brains at the door and listen to the bits and pieces of the speeches they allow you to see.

barf!!

C-span, despite Fox new's shitting camera work, is a much better deal. at least you can see all the speakers without a talking head yammering about some "scandal" they are drumming up for ratings.
