1. NC, VA, NV, and possibly MT and OH are going to be
voting for Obama.

10. Yes... but I'm not counting on it. But every state should be

contested. Even Arizona (where I'm at right now).

I've seen ONE (exactly ONE) bumper sticker for McCain for President here.

I've seen dozens of Obama stickers... and, admittedly, quite a few Bush/Cheney stickers (left overs).

But the good news is the the repukes here, in McCain's home state, haven't bothered to scrape the old 2004 stickers off of their cars and put McCain's sticker over it.

I drive a lot in both rural AZ and in the city of Tucson.

My feeling is that, among the rank and file repukes, there isn't a great deal of enthusiasm for McCain.

7. Obama will win the I-40/I'85 corridor, but Western and Eastern Carolina are where elections are won
It'll be a hell of alot closer than the Pubs will want it to be though, and they'll be forced to spend $ down here that could be used in a battleground state.

6. MT as a long tradition of being independent "mavericks"
of the west. Plus they have a strong Democratic party.

NC is harder, but possible for Obama to flip. I think the turnout for the primary in NC was very strong for Obama... and it will be strong again.

18. Yep! McCain's hold on the Mountain states is wobbly.
He's kind of in a shitty position right now.

11. That map has a little more evolving to do...
I don't believe that Colorado will go Democratic before Nevada.

I don't believe that Virginia is closer than Missouri.

And I certainly don't believe that Iowa is a safer bet than New Mexico.

12. I just don't understand Ohio.
The 2004 elections and their aftermath seemed to indicate a pretty significant swing toward the blue. I'm not sure what happened to it.
