My first pro-Obama post

I liked him a lot tonight. I thought he was humble. He talked about real issues. He made a straight-forward contrast, with specifics to back up his points. And he talked about the need to protect the Supreme Court. Obama made a strong case for himself.

I thought he was wise to pay tribute to Hillary Clinton, and her accomplishments. I especially appreciated that he acknowledged what she meant to so many working-class Americans. I didn't support her because I wanted to elect a female president, and that's not what her candidacy was all about to me--it was good to hear someone recognize how much she meant to so many people, for a variety of reasons.

So I'll vote for him, and give him a chance as president.

He should talk more about the mortgage crisis, and his solutions.

Hillary Clinton played a major role in bringing A LOT of Democrats on board. She made us feel like we have a voice in the Party and that we are not forgotten.

when he said this election is not about him but about "you", the voters, near the end of the speech, which I thought was another tribute to Hillary.

17. I had actually already decided to vote for him (because of the Supreme Court). But tonight I found

him to be far more likeable and he resonated more with me. I found his speech to be highly substantive. And he demonstrated a humility tonight that I liked.

The key for Barack is to hold on to the voters who he has recently won over, or who are waivering. That's why I think we need to keep up with the kind of engagement that Sen. Obama delivered tonight. And supplement it with additional focus on issues like the mortgage crisis.

You and the person I talked to in the elevator on the way home, who supported Hillary in the primaries but is now as fired up about Obama as I am. Welcome aboard and kudos to you for your hard work and dedication to your candidate in the primaries, and you did such a good job defending her here that I am glad to have you on our side now!

us all a chance to reflect and the opportunity to come together in a substantive way, based on mutual respect.

This is just one bill, but Obama was working on this before most of the country accepted that there would be a mortgage crisis.

20. You see...THIS is the kind of thing that Obama should be highlighting. Hillary did a great job IMO

of addressing this issue during the primaries and really made me feel like she understood the matter at that she was 100% committed to fighting for American families who were in danger of losing their homes. I honestly believe that if Obama talked more about his history of working on this, and how he demonstrated leadership, it would be impressive to a lot of waivering voters.
