What is going on with these C-Span callers. |

One caller after another saying they're voting for someone other than Obama.
One after another are saying things like "It was a great speech, but all hot air. I'm voting for McCain." They sound totally scripted.

If they were real most of them wouldn't have the brains to do something "clever" like saying the speech was great but meaningless.
Callers from the real Republican base would trash everything about Obama, including the speech. They don't understand subtlety.

Most of the people who would bother to call C-Span are probably hardbeat Republicans. I don't think they are going to vote for him anyway.

3. Did you hear the Republican who said Americans are stupid if they vote for a "black socialist"? |
|
Lots of overt racists in the Republican ranks. They don't even try to hide it.

That's all these people's opinions are good for.

Heard it myself.
After that, I only listen to CSPAN callers when I want to be horrified.

23. Pugs have hot lines they call to get people to make calls for things |
|
they support or reject. It is a system set up to lobby congress but it works equally well against Obama's speech. Ignore them. It works by calling the minister of a church and he calls his action team and they call others and all make calls to the target person.

I was out at a convention rally outside the local Obama headquarters. I heard the callers because it's only a few minutes drive from my home and I came right home afterwards. A lot of strong supporters were at similar rallies rather than at home making calls.
