HOW WE WIN: Obama/Biden Is NOW The SAFE BET.
Previously, Obama/Biden could be viewed by voters as the risk ticket and McCain/??? as the safe, conservative bet.

By putting a COMPLETE UNKOWN on McCain's ticket, with Palin, a quirky Alaskan at best, at worst, an unconventional Republican with absolutely NO EXPERIENCE, he has made his ticket the RISKY one.

Americans and especially Conservatives are not going to be comfortable with a complete UNKOWN a heart-beat away from the presidency.

Americans have had two years and a VERY HIGH PROFILE Primary to learn about and become familiar with Obama and become reassured with his VP choice in Biden.

But Americans have less than 67 days to become familiar with Palin, someone who likely WOULD be asked to take the reigns if McCain wins.

It just won't happen. This is why the Obama team is now going on the attack on her lack of experience. And this will ultimately drive voters away from McCain/Palin.

1. Agree. I'd add one thing.
Voters need to be reminded that, with Senator McCain being 72, there would be a good chance this unknown becomes President.

2. I was thinking that this morning ...
We don't even have to specifically go after Palin's inexperience,
but just to point out that voting for Obama/Biden is LESS of a
risk compared to the alternative.

I still can't believe BombBomb shot himself in the foot with
this pick ...

:wtf:

But I'm NOT complaining, believe me!

3. IF -
If John McCain somehow wins the election...

If John McCain cannot finish out his term...

4. Yes--they just took the "unconventional, risky" ticket and made it
look solid and more conventional. They blew their only good hand, which was that McLoon was seen as the boring, conventional, safe default choice.

8. Agreed, I think Obama boxed them into a corner and they are now striking out wildly.

Alaska's Palin Faces Probe
Star GOP Governor
To Be Investigated
For Abuse of Office
By JIM CARLTON
July 31, 2008; Page A4

ANCHORAGE, Alaska -- When Sarah Palin was elected governor as a Republican outsider in 2006, she didn't just take on an incumbent from her own party. She took on Alaska's Republican establishment.

Ms. Palin vowed to clean up a long-cozy political system that had been sullied by an FBI corruption investigation. She endeared herself to Alaskans by making good on her reform promises and showing homey touches, like driving herself to work.

Now, one of the bright new stars in the Republican Party has suddenly become tarnished. The state legislature this week voted to hire an independent investigator to see whether Ms. Palin abused her office by trying to get her former brother-in-law fired from his job as an Alaska state trooper.

"This is a governor who was almost impervious to error," says Hollis French, a Democratic state senator. "Now she could face impeachment, in a worst-case scenario."
