Why aren't people talking about what a RW fundie she appears to be? Per wiki and other sources, she's anti-abortion rights, was the head of the Fellowship of Christian Athletes when in high school, supported the teaching of creationism in public schools, is opposed to protecting endanged wildlife like polar bears, etc. It appears he is pandering to the rabid GOP base, which has never liked him, by picking someone with her views and who is a non-threatening traditionalist (while also contradicting it, which many hypocritical Republicans have no problem with - see Susan Faludi's Backlash for a devastating critique of this hypocrisy).
