Of course the media loved that speech
because there's so many interesting stories to tell about her. Lets face Obama has been out there for 9 months now. His story is running old. McCain is dull as toast. Biden isn't going to sell you papers. Enter the Palin. There's economic scandals, sex scandals, teenage scandals, family value scandals, controlling husband scandals, secret succession scandals... it's a media dream come true. And not just the MSM but the tabloids as well. Yes the media wants Palin to stay because she can generate ratings and sales. This was exactly the speech they wanted to hear. A typical Republican cookie cutter speech. Nothing to really defend any of the news surrounding the candidate. It was perfect, it's like McCain Co. doesn't understand half the dirt floating around blog sphere waiting to hit talk radio shows, blogs, youtube, the view and worse the supermarket shelves. Soccer (hockey?) moms might not see convention speeches or the youtube, but they all do something McCain doesn't do. They all go to the super market. They all see the celebrity gossip on the checkout line (admit it you do too). The Palin story was made to be a weekly tabloid papers dream. There's so much dirt, more than enough to get them through November. Heck even better, ratings show people are interested in watching the Palin train wreck (she will likely out rating McCain's speech tomorrow). Her speech tonight is already a distant memory that touched no ones life, but it did show the interest in the train wreck is alive.
